Valentine's Day

Image from Pinterest

Although the boy and I don't really go in for the whole over the top pink and fluffy loved up Valentines Day stuff we do like to spend the evening together having a nice meal and snuggling on the sofa watching films. We had plans to do this last week but unfortunately due to things out of our control our plans were scuppered!

I have been promised a home cooked meal to make up for it but I could well be waiting until next Valentines Day! On the day itself I decided to snuggle up in my new favorite jumper from G21 at George. It is so snuggly and soft and I love that it is slightly cropped so I can wear it with my high-waisted jeans. I decided to wear it with a knitted heart necklace that I made ages ago - which has inspired a new collection for Polka Dot Dreams.

I will hopefully be featuring a few bits from my new collection on here in the next week or so but in the meantime follow me on Instagram (here!) for sneak peaks!

Pom Poms Galore

Hello lovelies

In between working full time and planning the wedding I have been trying to design new lines for Polka Dot Dreams. I have been wanting to go in a slightly different direction for a while and I thought that as 2014 seems to be a year of change for me it I would try something new.

I have an obsession with Pom Poms so created the below designs. The boy thinks the big Pom Pom is too big but I like it! What do you think?

Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder!

Hello Lovelies,

Well I am very sorry for the impromptu hiatus from this little blog. After the stress of Renegade in November and with Christmas, wedding planning and working full time something had to give and unfortunately it was my little shop and this blog.

I felt completely drained and uninspired and without realising almost 2 months went by without me even thinking about new designs or products. I felt like I was becoming a bit of a robot churning out the same stuff without really caring anymore and it upset me. I had no time to create new designs and anything I thought of felt a bit stale and boring.

This week I have been off work in a horrible virus/migraine hell so have had a long time to think and have realised I need to lift myself out of my uninspired state and sort myself out as I love writing this blog, I love chatting with the crafty community on Instagram and Twitter and my Etsy shop is giving me the creative release I need.

I have started making a list (I love a good list!) of completley new and exciting designs and products that I hope to bring to Polka Dot Dreams over the next year. I really hope you will stick with me and support my little shop during 2014 - its going to be good!
